Recruitment Questions

Do I need experience to work at Adult Day Centre?

Not necessarily. For care worker roles, we provide full training and support you to gain your Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care. What matters most is that you are kind, patient, and reliable. For senior roles, relevant qualifications and experience are required.

How much time do I need to commit as a volunteer?

We ask for a minimum of 2 hours per week, but we are flexible. Some volunteers come in for a half-day, others for full days. We will work with you to find a schedule that suits.

What training do you provide?

All staff and volunteers complete an induction covering safeguarding, first aid, moving and handling, infection control, and person-centred care. Ongoing training is provided throughout the year, and paid staff are supported to gain recognised care qualifications.

I am a student. Can I do my placement at Adult Day Centre?

Yes, if your course involves a placement in a care setting. Ask your tutor or placement coordinator to contact us, or you can get in touch directly and we will liaise with your institution. We accept students from health and social care, nursing, occupational therapy, and related courses.

Is the DBS check paid for by me?

No. We arrange and pay for enhanced DBS checks for all staff, volunteers, and students. There is no cost to you.
