Every day is a little different, and that is part of the fun. But the structure and rhythm stay consistent, because we know that routine matters, especially for autistic adults and adults with learning disabilities.

Morning: Arrival & Settling In

We take our time with mornings. Transitions can be hard, so we never rush.

9:00am to 9:30am

Welcome

As people arrive, our team is there to greet them by name. Some like to jump straight into activities. Others need time to settle: a quiet corner, a sensory room visit, or just a cup of tea and a chat.

We use visual timetables so everyone can see what the day looks like. What is happening, when, and in what order. No surprises.

9:30am to 10:00am

Morning Check-In

Support workers check in with each person. How are they feeling? Is there anything they particularly want to do today? Is there anything they would rather avoid?

We adjust the day based on what we are hearing. The plan is a starting point, not a fixed schedule.

Mid-Morning Activities

10:00am to 12:00pm is when the main activities happen. Here is what a week might look like.

Monday

Arts & Crafts

Painting, seasonal projects, or pottery. Getting creative and getting hands messy.

Tuesday

Cooking Session

Preparing a dish together, learning kitchen skills, and following a recipe.

Wednesday

Community Outing

A group trip to the shops, a park, a local café, or a place of interest.

Thursday

Sensory & Music

Time in the sensory room, music therapy, or rhythm activities.

Friday

Gardening & Outdoors

Working in the garden, growing plants, or a nature walk.

Your Day, Your Way

Some people join every session. Others prefer a quieter morning with 1-to-1 support or a self-chosen activity. Both are fine. It is their day.

12:00pm to 1:00pm

Lunchtime

Lunch is freshly prepared on site, with all dietary needs and preferences catered for. Some people like to help prepare the food, another opportunity to build kitchen skills.

Lunch is also a social time. It is where friendships form, conversations happen, and people connect. Our staff support everyone to eat at their own pace, in their own way.

Afternoon: Activities & Community Time

Afternoons are about getting out, building skills, and winding down at a comfortable pace.

Community Outings

Shopping, swimming, visiting the library, or a local event.

Life Skills Practice

Travel training, money handling, or personal safety in real settings.

Creative Activities

Music, dance, art, or a group project.

Quiet Time

Sensory room, reading, or just relaxing.

Exercise

Yoga, walking, or access to local sports facilities.

Work & Volunteering

Work experience or volunteering for those who are ready.

3:00pm to 3:30pm

Wind-Down

The last part of the day is about slowing down. We review the day together. What did people enjoy? What would they like to do differently next time? We update individual progress notes and prepare for the next visit.

3:30pm to 4:00pm

Home Time

People head home. Some are collected by family, some use transport we arrange, some travel independently with travel training support where needed.

We send a brief update to families about the day. What they did, how they were, anything notable. Because you should know how their day went.

Through the Day: The Things You Don't See

Behind the activities, there is a lot happening to keep everyone safe, comfortable, and supported.

Personal Care

Support with toileting, eating, and hygiene, whenever it is needed, with dignity.

Medication

Administered and managed by trained staff, in line with each individual's Care Plan.

Sensory Regulation

Access to calm spaces and a sensory room whenever someone needs it.

Behaviour Support

Trained staff following positive behaviour support plans, proactively preventing distress.

1-to-1 Support

Available for individuals who need more focused attention throughout the day.

Health Monitoring

Keeping an eye on each person's health and wellbeing throughout the day.

A Note on Flexibility

This is a typical day, but it is not the only way the day can go. Some people attend half-days. Some come in the afternoons only. Some have community-based programmes that barely touch the building.

We build the day around the person, not the person around the day. If something is not working, we change it. If someone has a goal, whether that is learning to catch a bus, making a friend, or trying pottery for the first time, we build their plan around it.

Want to See It in Person?

Reading about a day is one thing. Seeing it, the atmosphere, the people, the space, is something else entirely. Come and visit. Spend an hour with us.
